LET KIDS BE KIDS

“Kids will remember the adventures you went on, not the stuff you bought them. Kids outgrow stuff, they never outgrow adventures.”

I love this quote because as a mother of three, I have seen this with my own eyes. Nothing is better then adventure, nature, and the possibility of anything. Through this blog my hope is to post pictures, stories, quotes, and the possible craft or two to get our kids back to nature and back to using their imaginations. I’m pretty passionate about keeping our kids young, innocent, and as full of wonder as I can; for as long as I can.

In the beginning, writing Bear Feet was more about doing something special for my son, but as the years marched on and I finally set out to publish (and it did take years🤣), it became something more. Our kids are being thrust into adult situations and mind sets far too soon. The internet and social media have turned our world from a slow steady pace of growing and learning into a whirlwind of information that at times can be hard to process. They are not, in my humble motherly opinion, ready to take that on. Let kids be kids. It’s what they want and it’s what they need.

I hope you join me on this journey to explore more ways to share with our kids the beauty of nature, the magic of imagination, and the wonder of story telling.

Stay tuned…🐾
